More than 200 School Nutrition professionals across Georgia School Districts logged on and listened in to Joe Pettit on the first of four stops in our 2020 Directors’ Conference today, delivered in virtual style. Joe, a leadership expert and sought-after speaker in School Nutrition, delivered a fiery presentation on Growth Mindset, during which he charged our audience to grasp the power of ‘yet’ – a strategy he says will underpin the belief that our goals can and will be achieved.
Engaging, impactful and interactive from beginning to end, School Nutrition staff completed live goal-planning exercises and shared freely about their personal objectives, as Joe provided guidance and language ‘hacks’ on how to make the shift into a Growth Mindset.
Urging the group to set their sights on bold and audacious goals, Joe shared some of his personal triumphs in the face of difficult odds, that earned resounding commendation.
School Nutrition Professionals were fully engaged during the 2-hour session which was opened and closed with brief remarks by Dr. Linette Dodson, GaDOE State School Nutrition Director.
